The TRIAD Research Team

We are a team of nine on-staff professionals and three senior consultants who specialize in delivering the information you need to do business and make confident decisions.

Robert R. Dykes

Principal & CEO

Bob Dykes is one of the most trusted and respected consultants in Northeast Ohio’s market research community. His distinguished reputation in the survey research field extends to both public and private sectors. Bob is quoted often in the media and has appeared frequently on local television and radio programs.

With his extensive knowledge of public attitudes and voting patterns, Bob is a popular speaker for business and other civic organizations, whether it’s analyzing election results or addressing topics such as the dynamics of issue campaigns and the value of voter targeting.

Prior to founding TRIAD (formerly Decision Research Corporation), Bob worked in a research capacity for B.F. Goodrich Corporation, the City of Cleveland, and the Greater Cleveland Growth Association. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Case Western Reserve University.

Kathy Severinski

Principal & President

Kathy Severinski has been an integral part of the leadership team at TRIAD Research Group for more than 20 years. With an impressive background in project planning and coordination, Kathy has designed and analyzed many large scale research studies.

Kathy works with clients in such areas as consumer satisfaction, long-range planning surveys and community attitude research. She has extensive knowledge of the dynamics of tax issue campaigns, particularly those relating to education, health and human services, libraries and other community services issues.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science from Kent State University, with a Certificate in Political Campaign Management. She received her undergraduate degree from Ohio State University.

Clint R. Van Dine

Principal & Vice President

With more than a decade’s experience in the field, Clint relies on his strong analytical skills to provide creative market research solutions.

Using his knowledge of various quantitative methods and multivariate statistics, Clint directs and analyzes a multitude of consumer research projects. His experience includes brand/corporate image studies, consumer satisfaction surveys, public utilities issues, health care research, financial products/services, new product development, and advertising-related research.

Clint holds a Master’s Degree from Cleveland State University’s Consumer-Industrial Research Program. He completed his undergraduate work in psychology and business at West Liberty State College. Clint worked as a program evaluation consultant prior to joining Tactical Decisions Group (now TRIAD) as an Analyst and Project Director.

Alicia Billman

Project Director

Alicia draws on her nearly ten years of experience as a resourceful market researcher to manage all phases of client research studies from initial design to analysis of results. With her extensive practical experience and background in statistics, she manages many types of projects including customer satisfaction surveys, new product evaluations and product usage studies.

Alicia has a Master’s Degree from Cleveland State University’s Consumer-Industrial Research Program. She received her undergraduate degree from Allegheny College.

Jennifer Yanke

Project Director

A member of the TRIAD team since 1993, Jennifer uses her well-developed project management skills to handle the various phases of both qualitative and quantitative research projects. She has considerable experience in questionnaire design, data analysis and report preparation, with particular regard to public sector clients.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Cleveland State University in Business Administration with concentrations in marketing and business statistics.

Theresa Loszak

Senior Analyst

Theresa’s extensive knowledge of quantitative research has been well honed during her tenure at TRIAD. In addition to quantitative study design, she uses her exceptional programming skills and knowledge of statistics to process complex data sets and perform advanced statistical analyses and data mapping.

Prior to earning a Master’s Degree in Consumer-Industrial Research from Cleveland State University, Theresa completed her undergraduate work at Baldwin-Wallace College.

Donna Gribble

Office Manager

Responsible for managing the day-to-day functions, Donna is a key member of the TRIAD staff. In addition to answering the phones and greeting guests, Donna manages administrative tasks such as billing and payroll, as well as assisting with the preparation of reports and mailings. Donna has been a part of the TRIAD team since 1993.

Phyllis Dykes

Principal & Senior Consultant

A seasoned expert in the field of qualitative research, Phyllis has conducted focus groups and one-on-one interviews on behalf of a diverse client base including corporations, health and human services organizations, economic development agencies, professional and business associations, public service systems, educational and library systems, and philanthropic institutions. With more than twenty years of practical experience in strategic assessment, Phyllis is an accomplished qualitative analyst.

Ms. Dykes earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Douglass College, the women’s college of Rutgers University. She did graduate work in psychoeducational processes (group dynamics) and business administration at Temple University and Rider College. Phyllis holds an Advanced Certificate of Completion from the NJ Management Development Institute, an organization she later went on to lead.

Fern S. Pomerantz

Senior Consultant

Fern’s expertise comes from experience in both research and planning positions with area companies, as well as her extensive background in the field of market research consulting.

Ms. Pomerantz is one of the founders of both TRIAD Research Group and Tactical Decisions Group. Prior to becoming a business owner, she served for eight years as Vice President, Marketing Services at Predicasts Incorporated, the formerly Cleveland-based international business information company. There she planned and directed all creative activities, customer services, new product introductions, direct marketing and other advertising, and public relations.

Fern is particularly well versed in marketing planning, marketing research in the consumer services area, and in study design and analysis. She has conducted hundreds of focus groups for clients around the country on subjects as diverse as farm equipment, industrial chemicals, banking services, corporate image advertising, and housing for the elderly.

Fern earned a business degree from the University of Wisconsin and did her graduate work at Case Western Reserve University.

Stephen D. Slane, Ph.D.

Senior Consultant

Dr. Slane is a senior consultant to TRIAD in the area of focus group moderation and interpretation. He brings expertise based upon both university research and professional experience. Steve has conducted focus groups concerning issues ranging from consumer products to health and human services. He is particularly expert in the areas of social psychology, personality, and multivariate statistical analyses.

In addition to serving as the editor of the Journal of Psychological Practice, Dr. Slane also consults in the areas organizational development and diversity management.

He is currently a Professor of Psychology and former Director of the Consumer-Industrial Research Program at Cleveland State University.

Steve received his Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Nebraska.
